Before the transition

• All information shared with us is treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for evaluating the business and completing the transition.

After the transition

• We are involved in the business from day one, working alongside the business to support a smooth handover.

• The pace of leadership transition is discussed upfront and adjusted to what makes sense for the business and its people.

• Existing teams, supplier relationships, and operating arrangements are preserved wherever possible, with changes introduced only where they strengthen the business.

Our focus is on situations where we can take a significant ownership and assume long-term operating responsibility. For founders seeking minority partners or growth-only capital, we are happy to make introductions to others who focus on those structures.

In some cases, a small minority stake may make sense for founders who wish to remain invested as passive shareholders. At the same time, we believe smaller businesses work best when leadership and ownership responsibility are clear and aligned.

We aim to offer fair, market-consistent pricing. Valuation is grounded primarily in the underlying profitability of the business, and informed by the quality of its customer relationships, employees, and supplier network.

Confidentiality is taken seriously at every stage. Information shared with us is kept within a very small group and used only to evaluate the business and manage the transition.

We are mindful that many of the industries we work in are close-knit, and we operate accordingly.

We operate with a “Quick No or Prompt Yes” approach. We spend time early to understand the business and confirm whether there is genuine fit, which allows us to step away quickly or move forward with conviction.

Once key terms are aligned, our focus is on executing responsibly and maintaining momentum, with a typical path to completion of around 2–3 months. We are deliberate about what we pursue so that we can follow through on what we agree to.

Not every discussion results in a transaction, and that is expected. Where there is not a clear fit, we aim to be direct and respectful, so that everyone can move on without unnecessary time or disruption.

In some cases, we are also happy to make introductions to others where a different structure or approach may be more suitable.
